ENUGU—A POLITICAL group in Enugu known as 3-in-1 Political Solution has flayed Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo for planning to contest the governorship election in 2019, saying he stands no chance against the incumbent governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The group which is a support group for Ugwuanyi’s second term agenda is made up of grassroots politicians, former ward party chairmen and party executives who are well grounded in the politics of their communities.
The founder of the group and chairman Ezzeagu Local Government Area, Chief Fred Chukwudi Ezinwa, at a meeting in Enugu described Kenneth Okonkwo’s entry into the race as a waste of time, stressing that the Nollywood actor stands no chance at all and therefore, advised him to withdraw. He said: “Even in his movies, he always failed where others succeeded but this is not acting, it’s real business.
He has no chance at all because the governor has done well. “What is he coming to give to the people when the governor has provided all the infrastructure? He is paying salaries and even paid 13th month. “Ugwuanyi is the only governor that flagged off projects in all the local governments in one day and commissioned them at the same time. The governor has flagged off projects in the 450 communities and we know he is going to commission same. So Okonkwo is not a threat at all.”
